Andrew was an outstanding student and a recipient of the SMU Global Impact Scholarship Award. He received this throughout his academic career at SMU. He was also on the Dean’s List in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Andrew served as Men’s Vice Captain of the Executive Committee of SMU Dragon Boat – a competitive sport requiring resilience and team spirit. His community service work includes Project Vikasa which is a collaboration with India’s non-governmental organisation Gudri Women Empowerment Project whose mission is to serve disenfranchised young and older women and equip them with life skills in order to gain employment and financial independence.

Andrew exemplified the balance of an intellectual scholar with a sense of analytical and problem-solving skills, collegiality and responsibility.
