Darien excelled in his studies and won multiple academic prizes. He has also been actively involved in student life and has displayed leadership qualities as Vice President of the SMU Emerging Markets student club and team captain in the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court Competition.

Darien completed 157 hours of community and pro bono service hours and was part of an overseas mission to Vietnam. Darien honed his articulation skills having participated in four mooting competitions including the competitive Jessup competition.

He has demonstrated humility and diligence in overcoming personal struggles and left an impression with his achievements, valedictorian address, thoughtful answers, and positive attitude in dealing with challenges.
