Tay Kai Yin

Kai Yin was the recipient of the SMU School of Accountancy Student Life Excellence Award in Academic Year 2019-20. He served as the President of SMU Accounting Society (ASoc) Executive Committee in 2019 and demonstrated strong commitment towards serving his SOA peers and overseeing events and activities that built an integrative SOA community. Kai Yin helped ASoc achieve many accomplishments, such as the inaugural SMU-Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants Case Competition in 2019 and rebranding of ASoc Symposium Professional Development Series into ASoc Axplore.

Kai Yin was the Project Team Leader for his overseas community service project, Project Wings 7 (China) in 2018, where he facilitated team reflection sessions to promote self-discovery and personal growth and designed lesson plans for the students. He also orchestrated fundraising efforts and raised $1100 in profits towards purchasing educational materials for the community partners.
