Lucas was the recipient of various student awards including the OCBC Outstanding Award (Academic Year 2018-19) and Dean’s Award for Most Outstanding First Major in Psychology in Year 3 Cohort (Academic Year 2019-20).

As a firm believer in the value of sports, he was the Marcomms Director for SMU Sports Union (SSU) and drove key initiatives such as SSU Welfare Drive 2019 and SSU Noticeboard Revamp. Lucas also founded a new Ultimate Frisbee Club ‘Alliance Ultimate’ which focuses on personal growth and values that led to many members going on to adopt leadership positions in their respective communities.

He was also engaged in several community service projects such as Project Hearts to Huts, where he led the fundraising team to raise over $3000 for the construction of classrooms in Laos.
