Ethan was an SMU Global Impact scholar and was awarded the Deloitte Meritorious Award/Dean’s List (Academic Years 2017-18 and 2018-19), Wiley Efficient Learning Award for Top Bachelor of Accountancy Undergraduate (Academic Year 2019-20), PwC Whole Leadership Award 2019 and ISCA Achievement Award 2020.

Besides his excellent academic performance, Ethan was the Professional Development Executive for SMU Accounting Society Executive Committee (EXCO), Religious and Cultural Secretary - Head of Formations for SMU Catholic Community (FIDES) EXCO, Mentor for SMU Mentoring Circle and the Camp Head for the ASoc Freshmen Camp in 2018.

Within the School, he also volunteered his time to be the Advanced Financial Accounting Peer Tutor Coordinator for School of Accountancy’s Peer Tutors programme to provide academic assistance to peers in their Accountancy modules.
